Students will develop their techniques as chamber players and study selected repertoire to performance standard.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject students should be able to:
- show technical development as chamber music players
- perform selected repertoire to concert standard
- demonstrate a capacity to think critically and independently in matters of corporate style, sonority, balance, ensemble, phrasing, blending and musical gesture
- identify the broad and diverse cultural references of the chamber music literature
- apply time and people management skills to rehearsal and performance planning
- utilize teamwork skills in rehearsal/performance groups numbering from two to ten persons
