Candidates will pursue an independent, research-based study. The proposed topic must have the prior approval of the Head of School.
Candidates are to submit a written report of 8,000-10,000 words for assessment.
MUSI90119 is undertaken full-time over 2 semesters. Students wishing to complete their Research Project on a part-time basis over 4 semesters should enrol in MUSI90124 Research Paper (Part-Time) instead of MUSI90119.

On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
Demonstrate a command of both standard literature and writings at the current scholarly forefront of the chosen field;
Develop the capacity for independent and original research and the ability to, plan and execute a substantial research project.
