Structure
150 point program
Duration: 1.5 years full-time / up to 3 years part-time
- five compulsory subjects (62.5 points)
- core subjects (mimimum 62.5 points, maximum 87.5 points)
- elective subjects (maximum 25 points)
Capstone Requirement:
All students are required to complete the Capstone Requirement for the program (at least 25 points). Students must complete one capstone option:
Capstone Stream 1: Minor Thesis: AMGT90027 Arts Management Thesis Part 1 and AMGT90028 Arts Management Thesis Part 2 (37.5 points total)
Purpose: An opportunity to undertake a theoretically underpinned study of the industry.
Capstone Stream 2: MULT90061 Internship II (Year Long) Part 1 and MULT90062 Internship II Part 2 (25 points total ) or MULT90019 Internship II (Semester Long) (25 points)
Purpose: An opportunity to undertake an evaluation study of a section of the industry.
Capstone Stream 3: AMGT90025 Cultural Management Project Part 1 and AMGT90026 Cultural Management Project Part 2 (25 points total) or AMGT90015 Cultural Management Project (Sem Long) (25 points)
Purpose: An opportunity to undertake an action research project.

Please note: Students who were admitted to the Master of Arts and Cultural Management prior to 2017, but who are accepted for the minor thesis from Semester 1 2017 onwards, will need to take MULT50001 Research Principles and Practices during the first semester of their enrolment in the thesis, in accordance with course rules at the time of admission.
