Professional Accreditation with the Australian Institute of Project Management:
In addition to the core subjects, the following selective subjects are advantageous if candidates are to meet the academic requirements for professional accreditation with the Australian Institute of Project Management:
- CVEN90045 Engineering Project Implementation
- CVEN90043 Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering
- ENGR90021 Engineering Practice and Communication
- MULT90014 Business Risk Management
Intended learning outcomes
On successful completion of the Master of Engineering Project Management a graduate should have:
- Developed professional skills across the full scope of project management, from "conception to completion" and enable a leadership role in the project delivery function
- Acquired skills in the initiation of projects, methods and techniques to control time cost and quality, resource management and long term stewardship of assets
Generic skills
- High level of development: written communication; application of theory to practice; critical thinking; accessing data and other information from a range of sources; receptiveness to alternate ideas
- Moderate level of development: collaborative learning; team work; system thinking
- Some level of development: use of computer software
