The Graduate Certificate in Port Engineering is a one-year program consisting of 50 credit points (may also be taken part-time). The objective of the course is to improve the capacity of organisations and individuals to deliver their roles and responsibilities for Port and Harbour design and management by increasing the depth and diversity of knowledge and skills of professionals practising in the Port and Coastal Engineering industry. The course is endorsed by Ports Australia. It consists of a combination of intensive periods of face-to-face teaching on campus and distance assessments. Teaching is based on a synergetic approach between world leading scientists in the field of Maritime Engineering and eminent practitioners in the field of Maritime, Coastal and Port Engineering. The variety of specialised coursework electives is designed to enable students to meet their individual career goals as well as meeting industry-defined objectives.
