Course structure
All subjects in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) are core.
See the Subject Options section below for the structure of this course.
From 2017 onwards, the year-long subjects in DVM1, DVM2 and DVM3 have been subdivided into two parts (Part A and Part B).
Students are required to successfully complete both parts to receive overall subject credit. It is not possible to receive credit for Part A in a subject sequence without subsequent successful completion of Part B. A DVM1, DVM2 or DVM3 student required to repeat a subject is required to complete both Part A and Part B.
Refer to previous years’ Handbook entries for descriptions of these subjects.
The Year level descriptions of the DVM described below include references to the subjects offered prior to 2018 that have since been replaced. Refer to previous years’ Handbook entries for detailed descriptions of these superseded subjects.
