The first three semesters focus on teaching across all curriculum areas with a strong emphasis on clinical teaching practice and preparation for independent teaching. In the final semester Teacher Candidates can choose from coursework (which includes a capstone experience and an elective) or research pathway options. The electives available in the coursework pathway are designed to provide Teacher Candidates with options to expand their professional knowledge in areas that are significant to schools today. Whilst maintaining the generalist primary classroom qualification, Specialised Pathways in priority areas are an additional feature of the program.
