- Class participation - 10% of overall grade equivalent to 1,000 words that is calculated at the end of the semester
- Pre-trip research presentation - 20% of overall grade equivalent to 2,000 words. This presentation explains the background research that students have done on the site(s) and how the project brief can be fitted to these sites. This is a group assignment and each group will have 15 minutes to present their pre-trip research
- On-site design development - 20% of overall grade equivalent to 2,000 words. This component of assessment involves student groups, which include their Chilean counterparts, presenting their in-progress work
- Final design submission - 40% of overall grade equivalent to 4,000 words. The final design submission consists of both digital graphic work (equivalent to three A1 format sheets), which are integrated into a final studio book
- Participation in post-trip exhibition at the Faculty - 10% of grade equivalent to 1,000 words. Students will be assessed in terms of their participation in developing and curating the final exhibition
