In this subject, students will undertake a research focused project. The capstone project will culminate with students synthesising the findings of their research in the form of a research project report. Throughout this subject, participants will be supported to consider how research can inform and improve educational practice.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Evaluate a body of knowledge in an area of contemporary research and practice in education
- Engage in reflective, critical discussion of existing research
- Apply research designs to investigate educational issues
- Assess ethical risks and benefits of the selected research design in education research
- Analyse findings based on systematic analysis of data and or literature
- Identify and assess the implications of their project findings for improving education practice
- Integrate the findings to extend professional learning through research
