Students write, direct, animate and a short production completed to a professional broadcast standard. This subject includes advanced studies in applied animation techniques and research and development for the student production. Students will go further into character and world design, animation performance, animation tests, animation direction, working with actors and composers that will mirror professional practice.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject students should be able to:-
- Take an idea through script development to all facets of screen production relevant to an animated production;
- Complete an animation production to a professional level of international standing;
- Demonstrate development in their creativity, innovation and technical skills expressed through production exercises.
Generic skills
On completing this subject students will be able to:-
- Confidently communicate in visual form;
- plan and organise their work within the resources and time-frame available;
- apply practical knowledge to practical problems;
- begin to develop a set of flexible and transferable skills for different types of employment.
