Semester 1 Assessment

• One continuous written assignment equivalent to 250 words during semester [10%]
• Two Listening Comprehension Tests equivalent to 500 words (250 words each) due in Weeks 5 and 12 [20%]
• One Mid-Semester Written test, equivalent to 750 words due in Week 7 [20%]
• One 10-minute In-Class Oral Presentation, equivalent to 1000 words due in Week 9 and 10 [25%]
• One 1.5 hour final exam, equivalent to 1500 words during the examination period [25%]

Winter Intensive Assessment

• One continuous written assignment equivalent to 250 words during the intensive teaching period [10%]
• Two Listening Comprehension Tests equivalent to 500 words (250 words each) due in Weeks 1 and 3 [20%]
• One Mid-Semester Written test, equivalent to 750 words due in Week 2 [20%]
• One 10-minute In-Class Oral Presentation, equivalent to 1000 words during the intensive teaching period [25%]
• One 1.5 hour final exam, equivalent to 1500 words after the intensive teaching period in Week 3 [25%]

Hurdle Requirement: Students must attend a minimum of 75% of tutorials in order to pass this subject. All pieces of work must be submitted to pass this subject.

Note: Assessment submitted late without an approved extension will be penalised at 10% per day and in-class tasks missed without approval will not be marked.
