This subject provides an introduction to financial analysis techniques and methods that managers need, in order to lead organisations, monitor and control operations and allocate resources. It also provides an introduction to industry specific non-financial measures and metrics associated with business success.
Intended learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this subject should:
- Be able to interpret financial statements, financial measures, and ratios as performance metrics.
- Be able to develop and interpret key financial indicators of performance and associate these with a firm's business strategies.
- Be able to manage financial performance factors within organisations in a variety of sectors of an economy.
- Understand non-financial performance management systems and methods.
