- Responses to lectures (10%), due each week (equivalent to 1,000 words in total), from Week 2 to Week 7.
- Compare and contrast essay, 1,000 words (30%), due at the end of semester
- A piece of original short fiction, 2,000 words, with a brief (half-page) outline of aims and influences (50%), due at the end of semester
- Tutorial and lecture attendance and participation, including presenting a draft of work in progress for workshopping (10%), during semester
- Hurdle: This subject has a minimum hurdle requirement of 80% attendance at tutorials (10 out of 12). Assessment submitted late without an approved extension will be penalised at 10% per day (50% per week). In-class and online tasks submitted late without approval will not receive feedback. All pieces of written work must be submitted to pass this subject.
