Hurdle requirement: Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of all timetabled classes, consultations and tutorials, and 100% of all key production events relevant to assigned role which may include: show calls, design presentations, production meetings, technical rehearsals, bump ins and bump outs. | Throughout the semester | N/A |
Assessment 1 - Production Placement Mid-year Review (3,200 word equivalent). Student progress and application is assessed against the following criteria: • Commitment to the creative and production process • Effective and respectful collaboration • Demonstrated capacity to fulfil assigned role • Creativity, craftsmanship and application of taught skills in a production context • Adherence to safe work and best practices Due: Semester 1 Exam Period.

Placements on VCA Productions (12,800 word equivalent). For this assessment students make a substantial contribution to VCA Productions in assigned roles throughout the year. Students are required to submit paperwork and other documentation relevant to the role (as outlined in Subject Guide) and a 400 word reflection for each assigned role within 1 week of bump out of each production. Assessment is based on these materials and the student's ability to fulfil their assigned roles on VCA productions. Ongoing feedback is provided to students via individual and group tutorials.
