Working from the single staff score/ chord charts prevalent in the popular music world, a range of approaches will be explored to develop performances in accompaniment, ensemble and solo performance situations.

- Develop and present live performances at the piano from three single staff scores from a prescribed list, during semester in tutorials (60%)
- Journal of notes from elements presented in tutorials, due in the final week of semester (30%)
- Active participation in tutorial/workshop activities, during semester (10%)
