Assessed Tasks
A laboratory report of 1500 words (21%)
A written assessment of 1200 words (21%)
2 multiple choice answer tests of 25 minutes each (21% each; 42% in total)
A 20 minute test (16%)
Each of the assessments is scheduled at the end of the period of teaching that addresses the subject matter that is assessed. Students are given the assignment during the week and hand in the following week
Hurdle requirements
Students must complete all components of the assessment and achieve an aggregate score of 50% in the subject to be eligible for a passing grade.
In case of failure to meet the hurdle requirement, additional work will be required before a passing grade can be awarded.
