Intended learning outcomes
Students who complete the Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) in this area of specialisation should:
- complete the equivalent of fourth year honours with a research component and obtain a recognised qualifaction;
- obtain an adequate basis for pursuing advanced studies in Australian Indigenous studies at Master or PhD level;
- develop a specialist understanding of a specific area of study; and
- develop a capacity for independent research in Australian Indigenous studies.

100 credit points
Duration: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time
The Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) in this area of specialisation requires:
- one compulsory subject (12.5 points)
- thesis subject (50 points)
- three Australian Indigenous Studies core subjects (37.5 points)
Total 100 points
Please note: Students must enrol in the thesis AIND40007 Australian Indigenous Thesis Part 1 and AIND40008 Australian Indigenous Thesis Part 2 over two consecutive semesters
