On completion of this specialisation, students should be able to:
Advanced understanding of theoretical frameworks relevant to dance movement therapy methods, such as the function of improvised movement, the role of empathy and attunement, and Laban Movement Analysis.
Ability to practice as a DMT, designing and facilitating specific activities and series of activities for individuals and groups utilising movement and dance as therapeutic tools.
Advanced communication skills, particularly utilising movement as the major communication tool, in responding to the diverse needs of clients in a range of contexts and cultures.
