In this subject students undertake two projects aimed at further developing their knowledge, skills and understanding of designing for live performance and/or film and television. The projects will require students to develop design concepts that creatively meet a complex set of demands that may include designing within the constraints of budget, time, OHS and minimisation of environmental impact.
Intended learning outcomes
On successful completion of this subject students should be able to:
- Develop cohesive design concepts that demonstrate a deeper understanding of the role design plays in stage and/or screen-based productions
- Apply a range of visual representation techniques to effectively communicate design ideas
- Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of materials and technology through appropriate design choices for stage and/or screen-based productions
- Articulate well justified rationales for design proposals
