This subject will equip students to adapt and reframe their skills and knowledge as performers and devisors and integrate these skills into new creative contexts. Students will continue practical classes in Voice and Movement.
Students will apply their technical vocal, physical and critical reflection skills to tasks in composition and build flexibility and adaptability as autonomous performer-devisors. In applying technical knowledge to generative creative tasks, students will extend their performance, devising and dramaturgical skills, and deepen their aptitude in reflective practice.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- adapt and apply technical voice and movement skills to autonomous creative tasks;
- integrate detailed vocal and physical choices into self-authored creative tasks;
- analyse and evaluate performance processes and devising methodologies;
- apply, sustain and evaluate professional working ethos in autonomous and collaborative work and in communication with staff, industry and peers.
