Intended learning outcomes

On completion of this course, graduates should be able to:

  • Conduct effective and timely research, analysis and reporting in an organisational context
  • Recognise the complexities of professional decision making and management
  • Acquire knowledge of the conditions, cultures and practices of a workplace;
  • Explain the importance of and build industry and professional networks
  • Critically reflect upon key professional attributes sought by employers.

Generic skills

On completion of Science and Technology Internship, students should be able to demonstrate:

  • Flexibility, adaptability, time management and organisational skills as a result of their participation in the workplace;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional workplace and to work with and interact with a wide range of people inside and outside their host organisations, including working in teams;
