Screen Practice 3B is a capstone subject focusing on the production of a developed short film project.
Students will synthesise knowledge developed throughout years 1 and 2 through the practical realisation to an industry recognised standard of a 5-10 minute film project developed in Screen Practice 3A. Films are completed within a staggered production schedule.
By following industry protocols through pre-production, production, and post-production, students will extend problem-solving, leadership and interdisciplinary skills whilst undertaking crewing roles on other student-film productions.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- realise a short film from concept to completion through all production processes;
- demonstrate an ability to effectively employ industry protocols and production practices in own projects;
- apply advanced problem-solving and leadership strategies in various crewing positions;
- create a short film project at an industry-recognised professional standard.
