On completion of this specialisation, students should be able to:
Expert skills to reflect critically on the role of drama therapists in educational, health and community contexts.
Advanced understanding of theoretical frameworks relevant to drama therapy methods, such as play, creativity, improvisation, storytelling/making and role.
Ability to practice as a drama therapist, designing and facilitating specific activities and series of activities for individuals and groups utilising play, drama and theatre as therapeutic tools.
Advanced communication skills (verbal and non‐verbal), in responding to the diverse needs of clients in a range of contexts and cultures.
Advanced understanding of the core therapeutic processes of change in drama therapy.
