Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this course, graduates should be able to:
- demonstrate a professional standard in ensemble performances and recordings;
- learn, prepare and critically evaluate repertoire thoroughly and efficiently;
- maintain and promote professional conduct and etiquette in the orchestral workplace.
- apply techniques necessary for wellbeing and successful career development;
- advocate for diverse creative voices in the expanding orchestral repertoire;
- demonstrate effective team leadership skills and display a creative and flexible approach to collaboration and team work;
- perform consistently and confidently under pressure in live and recorded audition settings;
- critically and creatively engage with the orchestral repertoire with its past and present performance practices;
- perform as a highly skilled, independent and responsive musician with an informed approach to different styles and interpretations.
