In this subject, students will further develop the skills and techniques for documenting and communicating designs for either stage or screen. There will be a particular emphasis on the use of graphic software. Students will also apply these skills for the purpose of design visualisation.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- analyse a brief or text in order to apply design processes to develop complex design concepts for stage or screen;
- research in an effective and organised manner for the purposes of designing for stage or screen;
- utilise a range of tools, techniques and technologies to create and communicate design concepts and ideas;
- adhering to industry standards, apply appropriate techniques for the documentation and communication of finalised designs.

On completion of this subject, students should have developed:
- the ability to apply theory in practice;
- the ability to generate creative ideas and concepts;
- the ability to accept and respond to constructive feedback;
- an organised and methodical approach to developing, documenting and presenting designs;
- the ability to communicate effectively through visual and verbal means;
- the ability to present ideas professionally.
