Understanding the significance and importance of the complexity and evolution of the universe, as well as our place in the cosmos, merits research from scientific and cultural perspectives. This breadth track introduces students to different roles of astronomy in culture, history, science, and heritage, with an emphasis on Indigenous cultures in Australia and around the world.

What is a Breadth Track?
A breadth track is a sequence of three or more subjects (taken as part of a Melbourne Bachelor degree) that progressively develops knowledge and skills relevant to a coherent domain, theme, topic or issue. It is a suggested set of subjects, rather than a requirement.
