On completion of this specialisation, students should be able to:
apply an advanced understanding of theoretical frameworks relevant to dance movement therapy methods, such as the function of improvised movement, the role of empathy and attunement, and Laban Movement Analysis;
demonstrate an ability to practice as a Dance Music Therapist, designing and facilitating specific activities and series of activities for individuals and groups utilising movement and dance as therapeutic tools;
exhibit advanced communication skills, particularly utilising movement as the major communication tool, in responding to the diverse needs of clients in a range of contexts and cultures.
