Overview
Intended learning outcomes
In addition to the learning outcomes of the Master of Civil Engineering listed, students should:
- have gained knowledge and practice in water resources engineering topics which might include water and waste-water management, water sensitive urban design, Structural tools and techniques (conceptual design, operation, maintenance) and non-structural tools and techniques in design of water and waste-water management systems, Analysis methods in water and waste-water management systems, marine hydrodynamics, environmental issues in maritime engineering and maritime engineering operations;
- be able to apply that knowledge to analyse and design water and waste-water management systems;
- have gained knowledge and practice in civil and water resources engineering management including economics, legal liability, intellectual property, ethics and the law as it applies to the civil/structural engineering profession;
- had the opportunity to develop research principles and methods in the field of water resources engineering.
