Specialisation Overview
This specialisation provides advanced prosthodontic training to general dentists wishing to further their ability in Prosthodontic care at a level of an experienced and evidence based general dental practitioner. This specialisation provides clinical training for general dentists who wish to increase their knowledge and skills in Prosthodontics.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this specialisation, students should be able to:
- Apply advanced skills in the provision of clinical services applicable to Prosthodontics
- Illustrate a detailed understanding of the principles, current developments and research methods applicable to Prosthodontics
- Conduct an original scientific investigation into biological, clinical or community health problems of Prosthodontics and communicate the results of scientific enquiry
- Advanced knowledge and skills in the area of Prosthodontics
- Advanced, interpretation, of the changing knowledge base of Prosthodontics.

Prosthodontics specialisation
Students must successfully complete 100 credit points. This includes:
- A 75 credit point advanced clinical subject
- A 25 credit point research subject
