Intended learning outcomes
On successful completion of this degree, students will have achieved the following learning outcomes:
Knowledge
- Demonstrate an understanding of the breadth of climate change and global health impacts and the local and international contexts in which they occur.
Skills
- Evaluate climate change-related research and global agreements, to demonstrate a critical understanding of how they inform programs and policy making to protect the health of populations.
- Analyse the influence of the health sector, government, business/industry, non-government organisations and media in developing and implementing solutions to climate change challenges.
- Effectively communicate the scientific issues pertinent to climate change and global health to a variety of audiences.
Application of Knowledge and Skills
- Apply the conceptual frameworks within climate change and human and planetary health, to identify mitigation and adaptation challenges and develop solutions, including in the delivery of health services.
Generic skills
- Application of theory to practical problems

- Communication of a scientific argument to a variety of audiences
