The Master of Architecture/ Master of Property is a double degree, that will allow students to complete two professional graduate programs in a reduced timeframe.
Architecture is a creative and exciting design-based profession concerned with virtually all aspects of the built environment. It combines art, science and technology with business, social and environmental concerns. The Master of Architecture is a professional program which prepares graduates for employment as architects. The ethos of the program emphasises the central role of design in the studio. Students can take a research subject which may enable progression to further studies as a PhD candidate.
With over thirty full-time academics and a broad range of leading architectural practitioners, the program has a depth and breadth of teaching and research performance unmatched within the Southeast-Asian and Australasian regions. Graduates will be equipped with the creative and critical thinking skills to push the envelope of architectural change in terms of the design and production of buildings as well as critique of their technical, aesthetic, social and environmental performance.
The Master of Property is a professional program for graduates wanting to gain employment in the property industry. The Master of Property focuses on real-world projects which range across the full property and development cycle, preparing students for the realities of professional life. It allows students to develop and build on expertise in valuation, property development and property management.
Professional experience can be an integral part of the program, a unique practical experience enriching the connection to the related fields of work. There is also the opportunity to take research subjects which may enable students to progress to further studies as a PhD candidate.
Architecture and Property are disciplines that work closely together in industry, and there is increasing demand for professionals who can work across disciplinary boundaries in both areas.
