Leadership involves influencing individuals and teams to strive to attain a goal or objective. This subject addresses the leadership principles and skills that managers need to be effective in today’s complex and rapidly changing environment, where organisations are increasingly global with a diverse workforce.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Articulate a business case for diversity in organisations and then critically evaluate the business case
- Lead, as well as work with, individuals in diverse workplaces
- Influence others toward desired outcomes
- Identify appropriate leadership principles for a situation and then apply those principles
