This subject offers students the opportunity to engage in inter-disciplinary practice workshops across art forms.
Through collaboration with peers, within an interdisciplinary framework, students develop and refine leadership and interpersonal skills.
This subject provides students with the opportunity to interact with other artists, to build rapport and skills in collaborative group work and to become knowledgeable of the history and methodologies of inter-arts practices.
Building performance through inter-disciplinary devising methods, groups of students work together towards a production that demonstrates their capabilities as integrated performers and cross-disciplinary artists.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- work constructively and flexibly with artists and collaborators to devise an inter-disciplinary performance;
- demonstrate safe, effective and ethical rehearsal skills and practice in the development of a new work;
- contribute to a group collaborative process through planning, research, production and performance of a new work;
- reflect upon and self-assess contributions to a group creative process through written reflection.
