This subject continues from Animation Lab 1, focusing on relationships between interactivity, the design of sound, music and the animated image.
The relationship between sound and animation will be explored through the design and production of audio-visual works. Students will be exploring and creating sound and animation as equal contributors to animation.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- review and evaluate existing animation productions;
- create interactive visualisations for sound design and animation;
- apply creative and technical skills in preparing sound design and interactivity for animation;
- identify and interpret the relationship between sound and animation to devise new work;
- plan and prepare sound design for animation productions.
Generic skills
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- communicate in visual form;
- apply lateral thinking and problem solving techniques;
- apply practical knowledge to practical problems;
- develop further creative self-assurance.
