Through working with actors, directors and tutors, this intensive workshop enables students to make significant progress in the development of their first draft script.
Students learn how to work with actors to workshop a scene from their script and will be required to be on site to write intensively during the hothouse.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- make accelerated progress in drafting their script;
- gain understanding of ways that working with actors can assist in developing a screenplay;
- have the opportunity to work with industry professionals;
- develop skills in hearing and assimilating critical feedback.
Generic skills
On completion of this subject, students should gain:
- greater clarity of ‘vision’ and communication;
- heightened writing skills;
- heightened skills of critical analysis, both in giving an receiving criticism;
- logical follow through of thought processes.
