Online conference: Create a 10-minute presentation for an online tutorial (webinar) and answer 5 minutes of questions. Students upload their presentation to the LMS in advance of the online conference. The assessment enables judgement on verbal presentation skills while addressing core content in surgical education resources. Students are introduced to scholarly resources in medical and surgical education and share a component of this information with each other through online tutorial presentations.

Essay. In this first written assessment, students are expected to use their experience, evidence-based resources and analytical skills to address one of three designated topics on key contemporary surgical education issues. This forms the basis of generic skills and content that is further developed in other subjects.

Hurdle Requirement: Online activities.
The aim of the assignment is to complete an online introduction on the Learning Management System (LMS), contribute to the discussion board and to reflect on their own and share educational philosophies with other students.
On completion of this assignment, you will be able to:
- Navigate the LMS
- Edit your profile including upload a photograph
- Introduce yourself by contributing to a discussion forum; and please share which paper you are choosing to present. It does not matter if there is overlap although it will be preferable to ensure coverage
