Intended learning outcomes

On completion of this specialisation, students should be able to:

• Exercise foundational research skills in the analysis of critical issues in Islamic Studies
• Apply in-depth knowledge of traditions, ideologies and contemporary issues in the Islamic world in relevant professional and academic contexts
• Utilise rigorous methods of inquiry and theories and methodologies appropriate to Islamic Studies
• Engage with and critically analyse complex changing social contexts related to Islam.
