Overview
The Korean Studies specialisation of the Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) allows you to undertake a minor research subject and coursework subjects in a specialist field of study at an advanced level. This course is equivalent to the Arts Honours program with specialisation in Korean Studies if the thesis component is taken. It serves as prerequisite entry to a Masters by Research or PhD for those who have not completed a four-year Arts (Honours) degree in Korean Studies.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this specialisation, students should be able to:
- Engage in sophisticated discourse in Korean in oral and written form
- Respond to Korean texts with a high level of comprehension and fluency
- Apply Korean language skills to the study of Korean society and culture
- Conduct research in Korean Studies using commonly employed methods.
