Overview
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this course, graduates will:
- Be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge in the principles that underpin communication systems and communication networks, including the modelling, analysis and design of digital communication systems and the workings of layered network architecture and network protocols.
- Be able to interpret and apply advanced technical knowledge in areas including embedded system design; embedded computing; signal processing; and telecommunications to inform engineering application in an interdisciplinary context.
- Be able to apply fundamental knowledge of communication systems and communication networks to analyse and devise solutions to complex open-ended communication systems and network design problems.
- Be able to appraise the broader context, implications and applications of digital communication systems and communication networks in society as well as an ability to behave ethically and communicate effectively with professionals across different disciplines
