Intended learning outcomes

On completion of this specialisation, students should be able to:

• Demonstrate special skills in the provision of clinical services applicable to Oral Medicine
• Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the principles, current developments and research methods applicable to Oral Medicine
• Conduct an original scientific investigation into a biological, clinical or community health problems of Oral Medicine and communicate the results of scientific enquiry
• Advanced knowledge and skills in the area of Oral Medicine
• Facilitate the advanced development of clinical, academic and research skills necessary to further a career in academia, research or Oral Medicine dentistry practice
• Advanced understanding of the changing knowledge base of Oral Medicine
• Advanced understanding of the international context and sensitivities of Oral Medicine
