The Bachelor of Science (Extended) is a degree program designed to support transition and enable the completion of tertiary study in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This course is only available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Through this degree, students will engage with additional foundation subjects in mathematics and the science discipline/s of their choice, developing their theoretical knowledge and technical skills. They also build key skills such as communication and critical thinking to support them through their BSc. Upon completion, graduates will meet all of the requirements of the Bachelor of Science.
During their studies, students have access to the University’s student services, including Murrup Barak - the Melbourne Institute for Indigenous Development, as well as the opportunity for financial support through our Narrm Scholarship program and the option to live in one of the colleges affiliated with the University of Melbourne.
