The Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Paediatrics) is offered to physiotherapists who wish to enhance their knowledge and clinical management skills as a means of improving professional practice in paediatrics.

Entry requirements
Applicants must be qualified to practise as physiotherapists and should normally have at least two years' clinical experience with one of the two years preferably being in the area of course specialisation. Both academic achievement and clinical experience will be considered by the Selection Committee.

Intended learning outcomes
On completion of the course graduates will be able to:
- Explain advanced concepts of anatomy, physiology and pathology applied to paediatric physiotherapy;
- Display an advanced understanding of the recent knowledge base in paediatric physiotherapy ;
- Demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning skills applicable to paediatric physiotherapy; and
- Apply principles of evidence-based practice in paediatric physiotherapy.

On completion of the course graduates should be able to demonstrate:

Course structure
The Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Paediatrics) comprises one core subject and two specialist subjects taught over two x two full-time weeks throughout the year. Assignments are submitted over the remainder of each semester.
