Intended learning outcomes

On completion of this course, graduates should be able to:

  • Demonstrate advanced theoretical and technical knowledge of translation practices
  • Analyse critically, evaluate and transform information to complete translations at a professional level
  • Transmit knowledge, skills and ideas about translation to others
  • Explain and apply the ethics of translation and intercultural communication
  • Apply knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy, ethical competence and intercultural competence as a translator
