This subject provides an opportunity to understand the complexities of exhibitions management. Students will be introduced to the concepts and procedures required to develop, manage and deliver an exhibition or other arts-based project such as a performance, festival, etc.
Intended learning outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Identify best practice and key responsivities in managing the development and presentation of venue-based exhibitions
- Determine key steps in conceptualising, planning and implementing venue-based art and cultural artefacts displays and exhibition projects relevant to a career in the visual arts industry
- Apply knowledge and expertise to the development of a thorough and detailed exhibition proposal applicable in a future real-world industry context
