This subject will be integrated with and support the other Semester 2 Subjects offered at the Dookie Campus. This subject will build on students’ knowledge of production systems gained in first year and develop their ability to make management decisions relating to a variety of enterprises.
Intended learning outcomes
This subject should enable students to understand the importance of management of the production system and develop student’s ability to:
- Establish production objectives
- Identify inputs and resources required for the project enterprise
- Coordinate resources to achieve production objectives
- Plan implement and evaluate activities of the project enterprise
- Monitor project enterprise performance by keeping relevant accurate records
- Perform skills specific to the enterprise
- Recognise the scientific environmental and social implications of management decisions
- Identify possibilities for changes to enterprises
- Develop report writing skills
