This subject will be integrated with and support the other Semester 2 Subjects offered at the Dookie Campus. This subject will build on students’ knowledge of production systems gained in first year and develop their ability to make management decisions relating to a variety of enterprises.

Intended learning outcomes

This subject should enable students to understand the importance of management of the production system and develop student’s ability to:



  • Establish production objectives
  • Identify inputs and resources required for the project enterprise
  • Coordinate resources to achieve production objectives
  • Plan implement and evaluate activities of the project enterprise
  • Monitor project enterprise performance by keeping relevant accurate records
  • Perform skills specific to the enterprise
  • Recognise the scientific environmental and social implications of management decisions
  • Identify possibilities for changes to enterprises
  • Develop report writing skills
