In this subject, students will further develop the skills and techniques for documenting and communicating designs for a creative arts context.
There will be a particular emphasis on the use of graphic software. Students will also apply these skills for the purpose of design visualisation.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- analyse a brief or text in order to apply design processes to develop complex design concepts for the creative arts;
- research in an effective and organised manner for the purposes of designing for a creative arts context;
- utilise a range of tools, techniques and technologies to create and communicate design concepts and ideas;
- adhere to industry standards and apply appropriate techniques for the documentation and communication of finalised designs.
Generic skills
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- apply theory in practice;
- generate creative ideas and concepts;
- accept and respond to constructive feedback;
- develop an organised and methodical approach to developing, documenting and presenting designs;
- communicate effectively through visual and verbal means;
- present ideas professionally.
