Topic selected in consultation with coordinator and supervisor. Enrolment in the thesis is across two consecutive semesters and students must enrol in the subject in each semester to ensure they are meeting the full 50 point requirement for the year-long subject.

Intended learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this subject should:

  • Gain experience in research in Indigenous Studies.

  • A sophisticated understanding of the role of theory in Australian Indigenous Studies
  • The ability to undertake high-level individual research
  • A developed understanding of the ethical requirements of research in Australian Indigenous Studies.
