This is an advanced language subject. Students will develop the ability to handle Korean texts and oral Korean over a wide range of subject matter such as official documents, academic articles, discussion papers and literary works. Students are expected to develop skills in writing in Korean and oral presentation.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Apply their language abilities to academic Korean settings.
- Critically analyse academic material in Korean language related to their area of interest within Korean Studies.
- Examine intellectual debates that have arisen in key topics in Korean Studies research.
Generic skills
Students who complete the subject should gain skills in:
