This subject is one of the two capstone subjects in the Master of Music (Orchestral Performance) and extends students’ understanding of the intensive industry-standard rehearsal and performance process experienced in Side-by-side Project 1.
Students again rehearse and perform alongside Conservatorium staff and invited professional musicians in intensive projects, further refining their orchestral skills and meeting professional expectations.
The project concludes with a recording session and/or public performance, and a reflection in which students consolidate their learning and synthesise their experience working as an ensemble musician to an industry standard.
Delivery
This subject includes an intensive project week with rehearsals followed by a performance and/or recording session(s) over the 7-day intensive.
Students receive the repertoire at least 4 weeks prior to the intensive project week.
This subject is co-delivered with MUSI90256 Side-by-Side Project 1. Students cannot simultaneously enrol in co-taught subjects in the same study period.
