This subject offers a dynamic and hands-on learning experience in a genuine professional setting that will challenge you to think creatively and work collaboratively. The subject will help you to articulate and apply the skills you have gained throughout your Bachelor of Arts such as critical thinking, creativity, and intercultural awareness. In this subject you will collaborate on a real project for an actual industry partner as part of a small consulting team. This subject will provide practical workplace and project management experience. You will learn to analyse, refine and evaluate projects and propose innovative solutions. Additionally, targeted seminars and workshops will help develop teamwork, communication, time management, and business skills. By the end of this subject, you will be prepared to tackle complex challenges in your future careers and able to demonstrate practical experience that will enhance your employability.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject students should have:
- Developed skills in conducting effective and timely research, analysis and report-writing
- Gained insight into the complexities of professional decision making and management
- Developed a capacity to evaluate their experience and to share their findings through written and oral reports
- Illustrate understanding of the industry concepts and principles associated with project development and problem solving.
